News and Updates
Computer and software purchases now allow us to
continue to catalog our collections and enter genealogical information at Sawyer House. We are making headway in our
research on Bolton's early families and anticipate being able to inter-connect them using genealogical software.
We offer several items for purchase. Not only maps and postcards dated 18th-20th Centuries but we have Esther
Whitcomb's book "About Bolton" for $37.00. Please contact us if you are interested in purchasing any of
these items.
Meet Felicity Frog - For our younger
audience
Hi, I’m
Felicity Frog. I’m one of hundreds of frogs that were given to my favorite human, Mrs. Florence Sawyer. A smart lady
who recognized Froggy Wisdom, she was known to tell people to “Hop to it,” when a job needed doing. So lots of
people gave her frogs as gifts. That’s how I came to live at Sawyer House.
I really love history and children, just like Mrs. Sawyer. I like to show off some of my favorite things in the displays
at Sawyer House. I hop around the exhibits and leave a note (Felicity’s Footnotes) by things I think are really special.
Look for the sign of my footprint and check out the Footnote (always on green paper, of course).
